![]() called bill who said the hot tub only got attended to every 4 days and the sauna should be working. Next day came the hot tub needed topped up with more chemicals and we still had no hot water plus the sauna wasn’t working. I was shocked as all the reviews and photos I’d seen online were really good! we immediately called Bill the owner to ask why the accommodation hasn’t been cleaned especially the bedding his reply was that it had a two day clean and that we were making it up.(why would we make it up) last thing you want on a family trip away with children to celebrate my mums birthday is to start cleaning and change bedding!!! Not happy at all!! Bill then called back few hours later to say we could extend our stay to sun evening as he wanted to appease us as to say sorry I guess.We reluctantly accepted as we had already cleaned the property and changed all the beds. Flooring was loose and coming away that was a trip hazard especially for my 2 year old nephew & the smell wasn’t pleasant at all. ![]() No welcome from the owner the keys for the property were left in an open key box on a tree, as we entered the hall way it was clear right away that it hasn’t been cleaned, floors were dirty paw prints and dog hair everywhere including in the beds, the kitchen was filthy! Lots of photo frames and clutter laying on the floor, blinds fallen down as not enough hooks to support it. On arrival to the Tin Church the views and locations were breathtaking but as we pulled upto the drive way we noticed right away a lot of clutter and rubbish laying around ie wrecked cars, tyres, rope and old bike with a sign wrote on it saying do not sit. The photos on trip advisor are NOT up to date! We booked this break away to celebrate my mums 60th at the end of April this year. I would not recommend anyone booking this.… This would have been the last holiday with my husband's parents as his dad passed away at the end of last year. This gave us no time to book anything else. The owner cancelled less than three weeks before we were due to arrive with no warning, explanation or apology. In this communication I said I'd be happy to pay more despite the owner not stating any price change when we rebooked. Nearer the time we were due to go I contacted the owner to check the price remained the same as was agreed upon the previous year. The original terms of booking were unchanged and we did not ask for any changes to be made subsequently. We have found the owner difficult to get hold of and extremely slow to reply but eventually having managed to reach him he agreed to hold on to our deposit and rebook for the following year for the same number of people. ![]() We had initially booked this for 2020 but were forced to cancel due to lockdown.
